This past November marked my first flight trip since the pandemic began in early 2020…and these are what I packed in them.
My Trip Details
WHEN: Early – Mid November
WHERE: 9 days in San Francisco. The final leg, consisting of a 24-hour flight itinerary, was to Saipan.
LUGGAGE: 1 Check-In, 1 Duffel Bag, 1 Backpack
Essentials
PASSPORT
My passport was set to expire in 2021, and I was thankfully able to receive my renewed passport in time to make it home for the holidays.

COVID-19 VACCINATION CARD AND CARD HOLDER
I wanted a holder that will be easy and quick for me to present to the appropriate personnel. In the holder, I included my credit cards, boarding passes, and luggage sticker.
BOARDING PASS(ES)
I was able to access my boarding pass through the airline app, but I still enjoy collecting physical boarding passes and adding them to my travel journal.
TSA APPROVED LOCKS & KEYS
For any trip I make, I always make sure to secure my checked-in luggage and carry-on (minus the backpack) with these TSA-approved locks. It helps assure me that the zippers won’t open accidentally.
Clothes
PACKING CUBES
I prefer packing my clothes without the packing cubes as I have more room to fit more things. What I did place in the packing cubes are my footwear, underwear, masks, medicines, handkerchiefs, and facial washcloths.

SAFETY PINS
I pack safety pins mainly for my button-downed blouses. The space between buttons in my feminine area almost always opens up, so I use the pin to keep it close.
PAIR OF GLOVES
I wasn’t sure how I would take the Bay Area weather after being away from it for too long, so I made sure to pack these just in case.
TRAVEL BLANKET
This is the really thin one I have with me that gets me to sleep. I normally have this out on the plane so that I can sleep as comfortably as I can, but with what’s going on, I had to keep this in the duffel bag during this trip.

DISPOSABLE FACE MASKS: REGULAR / N95
ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL
HAND SANITIZER
TRAVEL-SIZED DISINFECTANT WIPES
VITAMINS AND TRAVEL-SIZED PILL CONTAINER
I wanted to make sure to take my vitamins at least once a day during my trip and once during my flights. -Sidenote- The container is smaller than you might expect.

CELLPHONE & EQUIPMENT
This includes my portable charger and pair of earphones.
LAPTOP AND EQUIPMENT
This includes my charger and wireless mouse.
DSLR CAMERA & EQUIPMENT
This includes my charger, extra SIM cards, backup batteries, and camera bag.
MINI HANDHELD FAN
ELECTRONICS ORGANIZER BAG
Here were all of my extra charger cords, power adaptors, external hard drives, and flash drives.
Toiletries
HAIRBRUSH AND TIES
BODY WASH
SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER

FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS
Even though I wouldn’t be on my time of the month, I always have a couple of liners and pads in my carry-on for safety measures. I also have nail cutters, tweezers, and an eyebrow shaver in a mini makeup bag.
BODY TOWEL
I often prefer using my own towel wherever I go, even though the places I stay in offer clean, fresh ones.
LIQUID CONTAINERS
HAND CREAM
PERFUME
ESSENTIAL OIL MIST
I count on this to help me sleep, especially when I’m in a place I’ve never been before.
