I’m Henritz Joy, a Northern Mariana Islands native on a mission to build a life I truly love—one guided by faith, filled with purpose, and shaped by the grace of God.
For much of my life, I lived within the limits of tradition—overthinking, people-pleasing, carrying burdens that weren’t mine to hold, and doubting my own path. I feared judgment more than I pursued joy, letting the expectations of others shape my choices rather than discovering what truly set my soul on fire.
For years, I followed a system of surviving, not truly living. But in my search for meaning, God met me where I was. Through lessons, heartbreaks, regrets, and unexpected detours, He led me to see that life is more than just endurance—it is a gift meant to be cherished. With every step forward, I have learned to surrender, trust, and allow His love to heal the parts of me that felt lost. I am a lifelong student—curious, evolving, and learning to walk in faith, knowing that I am never alone.
My journey is about more than just seeing new places—it’s about immersing myself in the beauty of God’s creation, savoring flavors from every corner of the world, stepping beyond my comfort zone, and embracing creativity in all its forms. It’s about cherishing those I love and, most importantly, deepening my relationship with the Lord as He refines me through self-awareness, acceptance, healing, and love.

why
'HENPAL'
“HENPAL” originated by combining the first three letters of my first name and the first three letters of my last name. Coincidentally, in the world of blogging, HENPAL also plays on the term “pen pal”—someone, often from another country, with whom you build a connection through exchanged letters. In the same way, this blog serves as a space to share thoughts, stories, and experiences, creating a sense of connection across distances.
