I’m Henritz Joy, a Northern Mariana Islands native who is wanting to live a life I love.
I’ve lived a very limited life and experienced a very traditional way of growing up. This environment led me to overthink, people-please, shoulder weights, and have a lot of doubts within myself. I was way too afraid of the judgment of others than I was of finding my own happiness and doing things that I might end up loving.
For years I followed a system of surviving and not really living. It took me a couple of lessons, heartbreaks, regrets, and adventures to help me realize that I want to do more with my life and accept that I am a proud lifetime student, with a curious mind to filter through life, without gadgets.
I aim to live a life where I get to travel to all of the continents, explore hidden beauties, try a variety of dishes and drinks, bring out my creativity, visit different worlds through movies, television, books, and music, do activities that get me out of my comfort zone, take care of those I cherish infinitely, and most importantly, I aim to take on the journey of self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-healing, self-appreciation, and self-love.

'HENPAL'
“HENPAL” first came to be after combining the first three letters of my first name and the first three letters of my last name. Coincidentally, with my blogging, HENPAL is also referred to as a play-on term to PENPAL, a person, often from a different country than yours, with whom you form a friendship by exchanging letters.
MANTRA
I was inspired and I aim to inspire.
I experience and I feel;
And the emotions evolve into ideas where the ideas
pursue the pen that dances with the words
which connects with the visions to give way for the voice.
My voice.
It calls to the strengths, the dreams, the curiosity,
the passions, the present.
Our voice.
They scream to be heard by the unheard within the journey.
The journey through the minds, hearts, and souls of millions.
The millions that are inspired and continue to inspire.
