My Favorite Place to Think

I think.

A LOT.

About anything and everything.

Even though Meyer’s Briggs believes that I’ve officially become a feeler about a year ago.

I don’t know.

I’m probably just overthinking this.

What else is new.

Anywho….

As much as I can think about anything and everything from the comfort of my own bed, I do have a favorite place to think.

And that’s…

*drum roll*

The Beach

And, my favorite time to think is when it’s raining.

Surprisingly my lack of swimming abilities does not hinder my love of the ocean.

I love going to the beach and being near the water (as if we’ve yet to establish this fact). I don’t know if this is because I grew up on an island surrounded by water or because I was born to love water and am blessed to have grown up on an island surrounded by water.

Either way, I am a water child.

I love the fresh smell of the ocean, the soft sand between my toes, and the warm sun that comforts my skin. Everything about the beach screams serendipity to me. I love meditating at the beach, and I’m hoping to do yoga at the beach someday! I feel relaxed, free, and happy whenever I’m at the beach. Being able to watch the sunset (and sunrise) makes beach trips even more special to me.

I feel like no matter how peaceful the beach may seem, there’s still always something going on – birds chirping in the air (or on the sand), waves crashing against the shores, the wind blowing, cars passing by, etc. And these are all sounds that help keep my thoughts at bay, which I’m incredibly grateful for.

Being at the beach helps me tune in to the present moment and focus on what’s important – on my next steps. I’m reminded of all the blessings I’ve been receiving lately, and to be grateful for them. I’m able to connect with my inner child and future self, and just be with them, spiritually speaking.

When I’m at the beach, I’m letting go of the stresses of reality. I’m letting go of my doubts, worries, and fears. I’m letting go of expectations. I’m letting go of any sadness or pain. When I’m at the beach, I’m welcoming tranquility, love, happiness, and freedom.

If I were to build my future home, I’d build it near a beach. This way, I can always be close to my favorite place to think.

Keep being inspired and take care always,
