I’ve been wanting to share some recipes that I’ve been following for a while, and I now have a reason to do so. Yay!
I decided to do the Strawberry Banana Smoothie recipe because this is the one thing I drank for about a week after having my wisdom teeth pulled out, and the motivation to share it was at its strongest.
The first time I was introduced to a Strawberry Banana Smoothie was years ago, thanks to McDonald’s – my ultimate favorite fast-food restaurant. It was delightfully tasty, and it’s been the only smoothie flavor I’d always ordered since then.
MINI NOTES
The blender I use holds 12 oz (355 ml), which is what the number of my ingredients is based on.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie
THE INGREDIENTS
½-1 large Banana
4-6 Strawberries
2-4 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
1 ½ cup Almond Milk
THE PROCEDURE
Pour the almond milk into the blender. I pour up to half of the blender.
Cut ½ of the banana into slices, and then into smaller slices, and put into the blender.
Blend.
Cut 4 strawberries in half (remove the leaves), and put them into the blender.
Blend.
Scoop 2 tablespoons of the yogurt into the blender.
Blend and taste test.
Feel free to adjust the recipe to your liking. Add more tablespoons of yogurt for a tarter flavor, or add more banana and strawberries for a sweeter profile.
Optional: Refrigerate for a couple of hours to overnight to intensify the flavor.
Optional: Blend once more before drinking.
Voila!
Simple, tasty, and goes great with breakfast meals. I prefer drinking this with scrambled eggs and Pandesal (bread), and sometimes it gets me full on its own.
