Today’s my birthdayyyyyy!
Another year is out the window just like that.
This past year was pretty decent, outside of everything that’s going on in the world. The biggest accomplishments for me this year were getting my BFA degree and focusing more on my blog. It’s still a slow and steady start, but I’m grateful that I get to do what I love doing, and I’m hoping that my work will help anyone who stumbles upon them.
For now, in partnership with my birthday day, I will be listing 50 random facts about me that may or may not be all that random.
The Tea (Updated 08.2023)
1. I was born and raised on a tropical island, but I don’t know how to swim.
2. I am left-handed, but there are some things I can do only with my right hand.
3. I was an INTJ up until two years ago when I re-took the test and became an INFJ.
4. A piece I wrote in the fourth grade was included in the 2004 book titled, “We Drank Our Tears: Memories of the Battles for Saipan and Tinian as Told by Our Elders”.
5. I am a Scorpio sun, Sagittarius moon, and Aries rising.
6. I really want to get braces and Lasik Eye Surgery.
7. The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, and Pinocchio are my top four favorite Disney movies.
8. Spirited Away, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, Whisper of the Heart, and Howl’s Moving Castle are my top four favorite Studio Ghibli movies.
9. I used to believe there is a pot at the end of every rainbow.
10. My first name was given to me by my godmother. It’s a combination of my mom’s and dad’s names.
11. Chocolate is my own version of coffee.
12. I love puppies and aspire to be a dog mom to at least four dogs simultaneously.
13. I started watching Naruto in my mid-twenties, and I quickly became a fan.
14. 14 is my favorite number, while 4 is my lucky number. You will occasionally see references to them throughout my work.
15. I haven’t traveled as much as others, but I crave to travel the world.
16. Genshin Impact is the longest mobile game I have ever committed to (I began playing it in June 2021).
17. I prefer cold weather (and so does my skin).
18. My favorite physical features about myself are my dimple, eyelashes, and mole on my forehead.
19. Italy is my dream travel destination. Followed by Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, Greece, Jordan, and South Korea.
20. I accidentally shaved off part of my thumb’s skin when I attempted to comb my Barbie doll’s hair with a razor (don’t ask why I thought it was a good idea to do so because it obviously wasn’t). This thumb has been noticeably thinner than the other one since then.
21. I have two pairs of ear piercings, and I plan on getting at least one more pair.
22. As easy as it is for me to cry, it’s just as easy for me to laugh.
23. I often speak before I think (which often gets me embarrassed).
24. Joseph Vincent is my all-time favorite singer.
25. Harry Potter = always.
26. Chocolate, cheesecake, Cookies N’ Cream, and mango are my favorite ice cream flavors.
27. I love long car rides even though I end up falling asleep after the first 20 minutes.
28. The beach is my happy place.
29. I used to have over a dozen of freckles on my right cheek but noticed that many of them disappeared by my early twenties.
30. I looooovveeee plushies.
31. In this life, I have had about four dogs so far – Madonna+, Mary Poppins+ (Madonna’s daughter), Garfield (missing since Oct. 2022), and Moon (presumably Garfield’s son).
32. I have a bad habit of scratching my head when I’m thinking too hard about my tasks.
33. The first YouTuber I’ve ever watched, and my all-time favorite, is Ryan Higa (nigahiga).
34. My favorite K-Pop boy groups/bands are SHINee, SuperM, NCT, and The Rose.
35. My favorite K-Pop girl groups are 2NE1 and Mamamoo.
36. I love watching crime shows, such as Psych, Criminal Minds, and NCIS.
37. Awkward is my middle name, especially when interacting with people I’m not close with.
38. I cried the first time my menstrual cycle ever began (11 years old). I thought it meant I had to stop acting like a kid and be more grown up.
39. My attention span is quite short.
40. I can eat the exact same meal for a whole week without getting tired of it.
41. I am an only child and grew up being the youngest or one of the youngest people among my friends and classmates.
42. I’ve been wearing prescription glasses since my senior year of high school.
43. I give unique nicknames to those I’m really close with that only I can call them such nickname.
44. Unless I’m experiencing jetlag or pulled all-nighters, I’m a very light sleeper.
45. I go on a cleaning spree when I want to relax.
46. My current typing speed is 97 WPM.
47. I prefer having long, layered hair.
48. I enjoy deep conversations about life, passions, the unknown, and things that are going on in the world (past, present, and future).
49. My favorite alcoholic beverages are wines and cocktails.
50. It takes me forever to come up with 50 random facts about me.
