Autumn Tag | 28 Questions For Autumn Lovers

Guys…

We’re in the Autumn season!

I may not be in a physical location that visually captures the essence of the season, but the spirit of Autumn is still with me on this beautiful island.

To help welcome the season, and because I’ve been missing it a lot more this year, let’s do a fun Autumn questionnaire.

The template for download and printing can be found at the end of this post. If you answer the questions, please tag me on my social media (@hihenpal) as I would love to read your responses.

Happy Autumn!

Autumn Tag Questions

Describe Autumn in one word.

Change.

When you think of Autumn, what does it remind you of?

When I think of Autumn, I’m reminded of the movie, “Stepmom” (1998). I think that movie introduced me to what the Autumn season is like and I instantly fell in love with the colors and hoped to someday experience seeing those colors in real life.

Foggy mornings or rainy nights?

This mostly depends on my mood, but I think I prefer foggy mornings more.

What is your favorite, or dream, place to experience Autumn?

I was in Oregon for a week during the Autumn season and it was where I finally had the chance to experience the colors I saw in “Stepmom.” It was so much more magical than I would ever imagined.

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about Autumn?

I love the meaning of leaves changing colors and eventually falling off, signifying the end of a cycle in one’s life. In contrast, I’m not really fond of the shorter days.

Bonfire night or Autumn festival?

I haven’t experienced either yet, but if I were to experience one first, I think I’d go to an Autumn festival.

Which holiday are you looking forward to the most during the season?

Thanksgiving forever.

What is your go-to Autumn outfit and accessories?

So…I am not the most fashionable person out there. Normally, I just go for anything comfortable. But during the season, I learned that I love wearing sweaters, jeans, boots, and beanies.

Hot chocolate or pumpkin spice?

Hot chocolate, please.

What is your most cherished Autumn tradition, if any?

I have not done or connected with any Autumn tradition yet.

What do you look forward to every Autumn season?

Cooler weather, festive movies, and my birthday are some of the things I look forward to every Autumn season.

Fairy lights or candles?

I love both, but I am a sucker for candles, especially scented ones.

Favorite Autumn dish, dessert and drink?

I think I’ve tried less than five Autumn dishes, desserts, and drinks so I really don’t have many options to choose from, aha. Currently, my favorite dish would have to be anything with ham. I love Pumpkin Pie dessert, and my favorite drink would be Starbucks’ Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.

What is your favorite Autumn memory?

My favorite Autumn memory would be moving to San Francisco for the first time. It was an entirely new chapter of my life, and I’m forever grateful to have had such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Sweater and leggings or dress and boots?

Sweater and leggings for me.

Describe what your ideal days would look like in Autumn.

My ideal Autumn days… I want to be able to either walk or drive by some beautiful autumn trees. Do at least one random act of kindness a day. Talk to my loved ones, near and far. Cuddle up in my thick blanket and either watch some of my favorite Autumn-themed movies or read some spooky-themed novels.

I mainly want them to be peaceful. There is no sense of urgency in doing things even if I have a full day ahead of me.

What are four things on your Autumn bucket list?

Oh man, there are still over a dozen of things I want to do in Autumn. If I were to pick four to accomplish first, they’d be 1) host a Thanksgiving dinner, 2) go on a foliage drive, 3) carve a pumpkin, and 4) cook a must-have Autumn recipe.

Film marathons or ghost stories?

I am a huge movie fanatic who enjoys watching ghost stories during the spooky month as well.

Post a photo from one of your favorite Autumn experiences.

If you were to cozy up by the fireplace, what would you be watching or reading?

I would definitely be watching “Stepmom,” and if I’m reading something, it would be a novel from Sue Grafton’s Kinsey Millhone series. I’ve only read about three lettered books from the series, but they were amazing reads and I hope to be able to finish the rest of the series soon!

Apple picking or pumpkin patch?

I haven’t done either of these yet, but I’ve wanted to go to a pumpkin patch ever since I came to know of one’s existence.

What would your personal Autumn color palette look like?

It would be a little something like this…

An Autumn quote you relate with?

“Autumn, the season that teaches us that change can be beautiful.” -Heather A. Stillufsen

Sound of crunchy leaves or sound of crackling fire?

Sound of crunchy leaves, definitely.

Favorite Autumn activity in your current city?

I think the only Autumn activity I participated in on the island is going through a haunted house when I was a kid, and that is not a favorable memory. Other than that, nothing else stands out to me. Hopefully, there will be one that I connect with this year.

What is an emotion that Autumn brings out of you?

Serenity.

Spooky Autumn or Cozy Autumn vibe?

I love some spooky movies, but it’s a cozy Autumn vibe for me. My heart and mind feel incredibly content and loved when I’m in this type of environment.

Autumn is described as a season of beautiful changes. What do you hope to change this season?

I hope to be able to release all of the guilt and self-sabotage/punishments I’ve been giving myself over the last decade. I have been feeling very stagnant in life and most of it is due to the thoughts and feelings that were keeping me in the past, and I want to be able to move forward with my life.
