Hi Pa,
Words will never be enough to express how grateful I am to have you as my father. Throughout my life, you have always been my knight in shining armor—the one who made me feel safe, the one who stood by my side through every battle. Because of you, I have become the strong person I am today.
Dad, you deserve all the love, joy, and peace this world has to offer. You deserve endless blessings for the sacrifices you’ve made, the strength you’ve shown, and the unwavering love you’ve given me.
If there’s one piece of advice you’ve given me that I hold closest to my heart, it’s to be strong. No matter how many times I fail or how tough life gets, you always remind me to keep going. “That’s life,” you say—and somehow, those simple words have always given me the courage to push forward.
I now realize that every sacrifice you made was to give me the life you never had. The long hours at work weren’t to distance yourself from me; they were to provide for me, to make sure I had food on the table and clothes to wear. You always made time—getting hours off just so you could be there for my birthdays, school events, and graduations. What once felt like you putting me second was, in truth, you placing me before yourself in every possible way.
There’s no such thing as a perfect father, but you have always been the perfect father for me. You have been my constant source of patience and understanding. No matter how well I tried to hide my worries, you always knew when something was wrong, and you always knew exactly what to say to make me smile again. You never failed to support my dreams, always encouraging me to chase them with confidence.
But more than a father, you are the jack of all trades. I admire how effortlessly you pick up new skills, how you find fascination in the smallest things, and how you light up when sharing your knowledge with me. Your drive and work ethic inspire me every single day. Whatever you set your mind to, you always go beyond expectations, and I am so proud to call you my dad.
Pa, thank you—for taking care of Mom and me, for your sacrifices and struggles, for your resilience and your love. Thank you even for your mistakes and lessons, for teaching me that strength isn’t about never falling but about always getting back up. Out of all the fathers in the world, I was blessed with you—the one who carried me on your shoulders, who chased away my childhood fears, and who, in time, taught me to stand on my own two feet. You showed me how to try, to fail, to try again. You taught me to use my voice.
And no matter where life takes me, you will always be the first man I have ever truly loved and cherished.
I love you, dad.
Sincerely,
Your Daughter
